Light Cycles: The Game
Light Cycles is a game I created during my time at University. It was coded in C and uses the OpenGL and GLUT libraries. You can download either the source code or an executable version of the game.
The game is played by two players, who each control a different coloured snake. The objective of the game is to gain as many points as possible by killing the other player. They achieve this either by forcing them into a wall or trail, or by firing a projectile at them. Players are able to collect one pickup (projectile or food) at a time. Projectiles are fired, and move forward along a parabolic path, and upon contact with the landscape will explode. This deforms the landscape, providing a path beneath previously left trails, and kills any players within its blast radius. Food extends the trail of the player.
